A scenic drive through Sedona, Arizona 2021

On a day away from work to drive my son to Flagstaff, I decided to take a detour and drive through Sedona on the way home. It was a gorgeous day and I got some wonderful shots of the red rocks. I also nipped into my a cool store called Crystal Magic. They've got an enormous collection of all kinds of crystals, from pocket-sized talismans to bigger-than-a-watermelon huge; books, art, and gifts for your favorite hippie-fairy-gypsy. (even magic wands!)

Anyway, this was an unplanned trip but I thought it was worth sharing. If you ever get the chance to visit Sedona, I hope you enjoy your time there!

A little note about Arizona: we have several climates here due to changes in altitude. Phoenix and Tucson are in the low Sonoran desert; the central part of the state is mountainous grasslands with juniper trees and piñon pines; and the higher elevations are alpine mountains with ponderosa pine trees. We also have 3 skiing areas! We love our towering Saguaro cactus, but there's so much more to this beautiful state. Hopefully I'll be able to share more with you!
