Jackson was a bonafide hitmaker by 1993, but #Chattahoochee was a dramatic pivot as far as his record label and management team were concerned. Think about it: how do you think a bunch of suits responded when their star artists suggests a music video where he waterskis in cowboy boots? “Nobody wanted to put that out but Alan," executive Gary Overton flatly states in the documentary. Of course they were all wrong and the song became one that defines his career, and arguably, the '90s. It also shows the attention to detail this singer paid to his music videos, an area where he was a pioneer.

Of course, true Alan Jackson fans know he's a man willing to fight for what he believes in. This new documentary is available digitally on iTunes and Amazon Prime and on DVD through the Eagle Rock website.
