Ali MacGraw teamed with Sam Peckinpah on The Getaway (1972) starring with Steve McQueen, and the trucker movie Convoy (1978) playing with Kris Kristofferson. She is introduced by Sam's assistant, and Ali's close friend, Katy Haber.
