The other day while drinking a nice bottle of Cabernet,
I was sitting on my balcony observing the birds
chirping - a cardinal, a blue jay and others -
in a large tree swaying in the breeze before me.
At times, I'd spy on the squirrels and rabbits below
skipping atop the grass. And then a thought came to me:
I should upload another poem.

So I did.

Comment - May 22, 2021:
I was trying to remember what the inspiration for this poem was,
or the impetus that led me to create it. I recently recalled what it was.
I had taken the idea from the song "Help Me Make it Through the Night"
written by Kris Kristofferson and expounded upon it.
