Coffee & Guitar featuring Kim Curtis-Monson, October 20, 2023

Kim Curtis-Monson and husband Mike Monson are the Fish Heads, a married musical duo with a love of fishing Lake Superior, Isle Royale, and the Apostle Islands as well as northern Minnesota rivers for the early steelhead and fall salmon runs. They have been making music together in the Northwoods for more than 25 years. The Fish Heads regard their music as rockin' folk and 'grass, but they are definitely not mainstream bluegrass, playing old rock standards from the Bee Gees and Aerosmith, to Steve Miller, AC DC and Johnny Cash. Kim plays guitar, bass, mandolin, sings lead, and does vocal harmony vocal work that will give you goosebumps. The Fish Heads are often joined by all sorts of musical friends, like former Coffee & Guitar guest Paul Jones on pedal steel guitar. Whoever they have joining them on stage you are sure to find it to your liking; they go with the flow, these fish.
