Hello Music Lovers from all around the world! Hallo Musikfreunde!
In early rock music the acoustic rhythm guitar was a very important instrument like the acoustic rhythm guitar in early jazz was a decade or two before (just think of Freddie Green in the Count Basie Band). It did not matter if it was played played in a more basic way like Elvis did when he recorded for Sun Records in Memphis or in a more advanced one like John Lennon, The Hollies or Pete Townshend of the Who did in the 1960s or the Everly Brother even before. It can be a challenge to make a song arrangement sound interesting especially when chords repeat over and over gain.
In my video I tried to match this challenge and played over the Chord progression of an old Kinks song from 1964/65.
Best regards
