This week's Flashback Video brings us back 36 years when the US Charts were led by a British singer with his only #1 song in the country. Meanwhile in Germany an English duo who were based in the country discovered a frequently used German word and made it their only #1 song there. And in the UK an English singer with Greek roots, formally part of a duo, scored his first solo #1 single* in his homecountry. He added 5 more as a solo artist during his career and already had 5 as part of the duo, a 6th would be coming after he had passed unfortunately.

*There is one single in his repertoire that is sometimes credited as a solo-single but he was still in the duo then so I have counted it as part of that formation.
