This is Dolly Parton's 1979 version of HELP!
with the Beatles vocals placed in Dolly's recording.
Help came from Dolly's album
Great Balls of Fire and is the twenty-first solo studio album by American
singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. It was released on May 28, 1979,
by RCA Victor.
When I first heard Dolly's recording all I could think was what this would sound like with the Beatles singing to bluegrass music. I wanted to place Dolly's vocal in this version much more but I had to change the pitch of Dolly's backing track to meet the Beatles pitch. I was then only able to fit Dolly's vocal in during the verses and the occasional line in the bridge singing a harmony to John Lennon's vocals. Everytime I hear this I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
I hope you are enjoying these one of a kind recordings.
I mean no disrespect to any of the artists on any of the songs.
I have nothing but admiration for all of them.
