"Here You Come Again" - Trump Inauguration 2025 parody of Dolly Parton classic by The Marsh Family

“Here You Come Again” – released by the inimitable Dolly Parton in 1977 from an album of the same name – was actually (unusually for Dolly) written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, and has lots of fun modulations. We didn’t really have time to do full justice to it, as we wanted to smash this out rapidly, in time for Inauguration Day, and in response to the first speech of the 47th President of the USA (which aired in the evening UK time) - as it’s a parody about the return of The Donald.

Sorry the sound quality's a bit 'old school' as our music laptop (with only recording software) is currently under repair as the screen's knacked! Normal service and audio will resume, hopefully, soon. In the meantime, enjoy the celebration vibe if you are a Trump fan, or a massive life-optimist, and stay warm out there in the places that are freezing not burning up. Here's to many of the good promises being fulfilled - though forgive our European scepticism/worry/framing about the possible gulf between words, actions, and consequences.
