Hot Chicken & Music [Nashville, TN]

Last week we traveled to Nashville for @Kara and Nate 's 100th country party and enjoyed a bit of the REAL Nashville while we were there: music and hot chicken!

Our first stop was to see our friend Dave over at Nashville Banjo Co. (@nashvillebanjo).

Not only did Dave (owner and craftsman) take time to show us around his shop, but also walked us through the whole banjo making process from start to finish and even let me (Sara) attempt to play one of his beautiful banjos. Getting to experience this side of Music City gave us a whole new appreciation for the people and culture that make Nashville so special.

This city has such a rich history when it comes to music, and it was so fun getting to see that side of this rapidly growing and changing city.

Our second stop of the day was Hattie B’s Hot Chicken where Chris and friends Thad (@thad_cockrell) and Josh (@joshuawilee) attempted to take on the hottest chicken in Nashville!

Between flaming hot bites of some of Nashville’s original hot chicken, Thad talked a bit about his careers as a signer/songwriter and his new found love for painting.

We love traveling to new places and meeting new people. But, sometimes it’s nice to be in Nashville for a bit (a city that feels like a second home to us) hanging out with old friends over good music and hot chicken.
