Merle Haggard's IF WE MAKE IT THROUGH DECEMBER was a lead single released in October of 1973. It was a track from Haggard's Christmas album titled "Merle Haggard's Christmas Present"

It was also released on a non Christmas Haggard album some months later. It was one of the many hits for Merle, this song hitting the US Billboard charts Hot Country Songs at #1 in December 1973 into January 1974.

It's one of my all-time favourite Merle Haggard songs.

Although I'm far from satisfied with my instrumental version of the song I'm releasing it to my YouTube channel nonetheless due to request to play this one. So here it is.
