This song was taken from Kenny Rogers' 1983 album produced by the Bee Gees. Kenny Rogers passed away sadly on August 20, 2020 but left a great list of hit songs. I recently saw a interview where Rogers stated that he hated this song and wasn't feeling it after he had tried to record it by himself. Dolly Parton was then invited to make it a duet and the rest is history. This song sold two millions copies in the US alone.
