Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B are among the Billboard Women in Music honorees

Rapper Cardi B has been named Woman of The Year for Billboard's 15th Annual Women in Music Event.
The female MC said she was honored to receive the title in a year where so many of her plans were messed up.
"I'm just grateful and thankful that the song that I actually did put out this year, which was 'WAP' feature Meghan thee Stallion. It - not only was it an amazing song, that broke so much, so many, so many records. But, you know, it was just a conversation that I never thought it was going to be so big. I mean, it pissed off a whole bunch of Republicans for no reason, you know what I'm saying, like it was just weird."
The ceremony will stream on the publication's website on December 10th at 8pm/et (0100 GMT) with the winners, accepting their trophies via taped video messages.
Jennifer Lopez was named Icon of the year and said music has been an obsession all her life.
"Being able to make music and continue to make music all these years has been one of my biggest blessings," said Lopez.
"My mom used to put me on the kitchen table and there's where she showed me how to do the booty shake. And together we sing the oldies or whatever was at the top of the Billboard charts at the time. And those were my first performances. And it's what inspired me to do what I've had the privilege to do for all of you all these years."
Pop star Duo Lipa was named Powerhouse of the year and was presented her award by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, while Dolly Parton was celebrated by her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus with the Hitmaker award.
Music duo and sisters Chloe x Halle will receive the Rising Star award.
The show will be hosted by singer Teyana Taylor.
