Jerry Kennedy is a record producer and occasional session musician. He played on Bob Dylan's 1966 LP Blonde on Blonde, as well as playing guitar and dobro on recordings by Elvis Presley, Kris Kristofferson, Ringo Starr, and Mickey Newbury.

During his time at Mercury Records he produced artists such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Newbury, Tom T. Hall, Roger Miller, and many more. He eventually left Mercury and started JK Productions where he recorded artists such as The Statler Brothers, Connie Smith, and Reba McEntire.

This LP features re-recordings of songs made famous by other country artists such as Tom T. Hall, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Rodriguez. Some of these artists are featured on their respective tracks along with many members of the Nashville A-Team, including legendary producer Owen Bradley.
