Just Bumming Around, if I've got my facts straight, was written by the songwriter (not the actor) Pete Graves who had been an old rodeo rider. He said he borrowed from this and that to put the song together. I guess it turned out pretty good because it's been recorded by a number of old C&W artist like Hank Thompson, Jimmy Dean, Tex Ritter, Hank Snow, and more recently by Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Boxcar Willie. Even some pop stars over the years got into the act such as Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Perry Como and, believe it or not, Tab Hunter. It's a cool little tune that helps you, or at least me, get through the day.
