The Fundamentals. Lesson #3. The sound of bending chords is one you have heard hundreds or thousands of times played by pedal steel players on your favorite country, rock and even jazz songs. When we apply the Nashville number system to the 3Bender we start to hear the magic. We will assign the Big E Chord™️ as the I Chord. A bent Big E Chord™️ now becomes an A Chord which is the IV Chord. If we move the same Big E Chord™️ shape to the B chord position, we are now at the V Chord. When we bend the V Chord it bends up to an E chord. So that means we are back at the I chord! It is that familiar pedal steel sound that you have heard so many times.
