I do not own the copyright to the lyrics or music. I merely wanted to pay tribute to two powerhouses who touched my life through their music. Thank you Kris Kristofferson for writing this beautiful song and thank you Janis Joplin for embodying it. It always felt real, raw and powerful to me. When Kris passed away this year so close to the anniversary of Janis’ death I felt moved to pay tribute with a song I have always loved singing. I didn’t know it would be filled with so much personal emotion this time, but great music takes us to our depths. For those of you watching to the end, thank you for listening. I had wanted to post it closer to the time that i recorded it on Oct 1st, but I haven’t sung or posted anything in a long time. Today i am stepping into my fear of being seen and heard in all my raw and real vulnerability.

Hopefully it will encourage others to do the same????
