Our friend, Don Venne, passed away this week. Paul met Don through his wife, Jean, when he moved to Seattle in 1987. They shared jam sessions in Seattle and Minneapolis, where Don lived. Don introduced Paul to the ukulele several years ago and encouraged him to try it. Julie met Don at the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop summer camp. When we met we didn't realize that we both were friends with Don. His smile and enthusiasm will be missed. We decided to share this tune in Don's memory. It is our rewrite of a Merle Haggard tune.
