About the song...
I actually wrote this song after watching a tv show so it technically has nothing to do with my own life, yet I resonate with it deeply. I'm one of those people that gets really invested in storylines, it's as if I'm actually going through what the characters are going through. I've been told this makes me an "empath", which I consider to be a blessing and a curse. But the cool thing about it is that it allows me to use inspiration from stories, books or tv shows to write music that I relate to, even when I haven't gone through it myself. Sometimes it's a good break to write about someone else's story rather than it always being about your own.

I'm really proud of how this song turned out and I hope you love it as much as I do! Xo, Natalie

My Home - Lyrics

I never wanted to hurt no one
I never wanted to come off strong
I never thought that I could ruin
something I needed for so long

I never thought that I could cry
I never thought that I would need to
I guess I never thought that I
thought that I would lose you

You were my home
you were my fire
With you I was known
my deepest desire

But am I wrong
for begging you to give me one last try
But you are my home
and you will be til the day that I die

You were right
that I’m addicted to the life
of self sabotage
Honey you were right
I’ve never wanted anything
bad enough to try

You were my home
you were my fire
With you I was known
my deepest desire

But am I wrong
for begging you to give me one last try
But you are my home
and you will be til the day that I die

Am I wrong for
wanting to see you tonight?
Am I wrong
for putting up a fight?
I know it’s late
and I’m way past you keeping on the light
But for tonight
can we please pretend
everything’s alright?
Baby for tonight
take my hand
tell me it’ll be alright
