Taken from the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, King James Version, and sung to the melody of "The Star-Spangled Banner ", which is the National Anthem of the United States. Stafford Smith [1757-1836] wrote the music for "The Anacreontic Song", which became "The Star-Spangled Banner" following the war of 1812. The lyrics were written by Francis Scott Key [1779-1843] and came from the "Defence of Fort M'Henry", a poem written during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812.

Psalm 95 - 11 verses (full chapter)

O COME LET US SING
UN-TO THE LORD LET
US MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE
TO THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION
LET US COME BEFORE HIS
PRESENCE WITH THANKSGIVING
AND MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE
UNTO HIM WITH PSALMS

FOR THE LORD IS A GREAT
GOD AND A GREAT KING A-
BOVE ALL GODS IN HIS HAND
ARE THE DEEP PLACES OF
THE EARTH THE STRENGTH OF THE HILLS
I--S H--IS AL---SO
THE SEA IS HIS AND HE
MADE IT AND HIS HANDS FORMED

THE DRY LAND O COME
LET US WORSHIP AND BOW
DOWN LET US KNEEL BEFORE
THE LO--RD OUR MA--KER
FOR HE IS OUR GOD
AND WE ARE THE PEO-
PLE OF HIS PAST-URE AND
THE SHEEP OF HIS HA--ND

TO DAY IF YE WILL
HEAR HIS VOICE HARDEN NOT
YOUR HEART AS IN THE
PROVOCATION, AND AS
IN THE DAY OF TEMPTATION
IN THE-- WILDER-NESS WHE--N
YOUR FATHERS TEMPTED ME
PROVED ME AND SAW MY WORK

(SPOKEN)
FORTY YEARS LONG WAS I GREIVED WITH THIS GENERATION AND SAID
IT IS A PEOPLE THAT DO ERR IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN MY WAYS:
UNTO WHOM I SWARE IN MY WRATH THAT THEY SHOULD NOT ENTER INTO MY REST.

THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER
"O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous flight
O'er the ramparts we watch'd were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still here,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly see through the mists of the deep
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitly blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream,
'Tis the star-spangled banner - O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore,
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a Country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O thus be it ever when free men shall stand
Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation!
Blest with vict'ry and peace may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto - "In GOD is our trust,"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
