This was a fun little set, featuring bluegrass and country standards from Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Elvis Presley and John Prine, among others. All the songs seem to fit a theme, but I’m not exactly sure what it is. We’re always glad to have Drayton with us when he can squeeze it into his full calendar of Nashville-Asheville gigs. I love having Brother Marty with us, too. His song selections are always crowd favorites, and often, requests (Rocky Top was the second choice of the guest who’d first requested Man of Constant Sorrow). Stig is super solid on bass and vocals, and Rudy is becoming my favorite banjo player. So grateful to the Inn for letting me assemble bands like this every week.
