Legendary songwriter Mark James, best known for penning Elvis Presley’s "Suspicious Minds," has died at 83. Born Francis Zambon in Houston, he also wrote hits like "Hooked On A Feeling" and "Always On My Mind," recorded by artists such as Willie Nelson and Brenda Lee. Inducted among the top songwriters of the 20th century in 2000, James’s career included a stint in the Vietnam War.
