At its core, Sweet Maria (Won't You Let Me In) is a song about redemption. About returning to a place where you turned left instead of right. You can never go back in time, but you can try to go back to a place and choose which direction to take with the experience you have gained in the meantime.
Sweet Maria (Won't You Let Me In) was written in the fall of 2015 by Mitch Ross and Adam Walli. It was recorded with Adam's wife and music partner, Jody Walli, on drums in March of 2016.
Adam sang lead and harmony vocals and played acoustic guitar and bass, while Mitch sang the lead on the bridge, provided some harmony vocals and played 12-string and electric guitars.
This video was shot around the same time and is now available to the public.
Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support.
I could not do this without you.
Sincerely,
Mitch Ross
