Okay, it's not so controversial today. Because the attitudes have changed. It seems today that all you see is violence in movies... and the rest of the Family Guy theme.

But- In 1976, there was the fight between Hunt and Lauda, a season that Ron Howard took inspiration from and made a blockbuster film about it. And a season that captivated the UK. But the problem was... Nobody was able to watch it.

A sponsorship deal between the Surtees F1 team and the Durex brand caused so much outrage at the BBC and ITV, that aside from the final round of the season at Fuji, no other F1 race was broadcast in the UK. Absolutely baffling. So here's the story.
