The Taker

This song was actually written in colaboration by Kris Kristofferson and Shel Silverstein.

The song is most well known being performed by Wayon Jennings.

I enjoy playing this song as its a fun song to play ......

but the song has deep meaning to me.....as I have been accused of being "A Taker" by those in false postions of leadership.....socio paths....narracistist....that like to point the finger at others and place the blame.

So I'm going to post another video ....re-writting the song.....as...."The Giver"

There are alway two sides to any story.

"A Star is Born" is a movie on this topic that has been remade 3 times.

1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason

1974 featuring Barbara Steisand and Kris Kristofferson ( to which I believe is a take on Kristoffersons relationship with Janis Joplin)

2018 with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to which I must admit I have not seen and have no real intention of watching as "remakes" of movies these days do not portray the original story so much as trying to project modern day society on traditional values...come on...woke..cancle culture..anti hyphonated jargon..is an insult to the classics....don't remake these movies...tell the modern story......

on the other hand..its about time....some one remakes....."Five Easy Pieces" or "Gaslight"....maybe "Cool Hand Luke" featuing Chris Rock and an all black cast..( 1967 movie taking place in a southern prison with no black characters...is that "racist" or was it the reality of segregation that needs to be addessed).. These are the kinds of movies the society needs to see again from a modern day perspective.

I paid good money for my college education..studying things such as "leadership".....emmergng leadership...appointed leadership....elected leadership....born into leadership....its seems a bit controversial..sophmoric...but these days...no one seems to question Authority...Leadership...how one has become a leader....those that are in leaderhip positions...often have not earned their merit.

it breaks my heart...in modern day society...that leaders..in a "free" society...to which has become an Oligarchy.....Democracy is failing in our capitalistic society when one can buy a position of faux leadership...then not act as a leader at all...

a true leader ...leads by example...

the old fairy tale of ......Martin Luther...Chris Cross....is no longer a fairy tale..but reality....

just as the 1954 version of the movie "A Star is Born" is not even the same movie that claims to be a re-make in 2018....

there is a big difference between what is percieved as "a giver" and " a taker"
