Boris Johnson is a massive liability to Tory MPs now. He is going to cost a lot of them their seats at the next election, and power for those who are still elected. Getting rid of him should be an easy decision and process, yet it's not. And now, just as Tory rebels are looking like they might have the numbers to trigger a confidence vote, they are asking colleagues to withdraw their letters quickly. What a shambles.
