Eclipse of the sun, also known as a solar eclipse. This is the full solar eclipse today viewed from the path of eclipse totality. Anyone in this eclipse path can see nature’s most awe inspiring sights, a total solar eclipse. The moon will completely cover the sun and the corona can be seen while it covers the sun’s tenuous atmosphere. This eclipse stretched from Salem, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina. If you are outside the eclipse path you saw a partial solar eclipse where the moon covers only part of the sun. NASA has a lot of information about the eclipse if you would like to learn more. The eclipse brought about events, activities, and a lot of traveling people to see the solar eclipse in totality. For eclipse safety, people wear eclipse glasses to darken the sun to prevent eye damage. This eclipse video catches the eclipse at the perfect time.
