ICELAND Is a country of no shortage of waterfalls, the reasons for Iceland having so many great waterfalls, likely numbering is the thousands are largely climate related. The countrys nothern latitude means that it has lots of rain and snow. It also has a number of glaciers combine with mountains landscape.

1. Gljúfrabúi
2. Seljalandsfoss
3. Skógafoss
4. Kvernufoss
5. Gluggafoss

GLJUFRABUI - is a hidden gem in Iceland you have to wade into a small stream and enter the narrow opening, the cliff to find these mystery falls. Once you enter you’ll be sorrounded by the
mossy rock on all sides, the water pouring in from an opening above.
If you plan to visit these hidden gem, dont forget to bring a waterproof shoes or rainboat and raincoat to avoid wet.

SELJALANDSFOSS - the 60 meter tall drops from the top of an old sea cliff in the front of a natural amphitheatre. Another one in the top 5 waterfalls in Iceland list. Is a most see stop to visit in the South coast in the country.

SKOGAFOSS - one of my favourite to visit about waterfall chasing in Iceland is you get to see many rainbows. SKOGAFOSS is no exception.

KVERNUFOSS - Its part of a 100m long river West of mt.hekla which starts high up at the volcano’s geothermal area. KVERNUFOSS is a waterfall hidden away in the country side of Iceland near geysir.

GLUGGAFOSS - The cliff supporting gluggafoss has an upper palagonite portion and a lower basalt portion. Distinctive of Gluggafoss geology are the holes and tunnels formed by the river through the soft palagonite known in islandic as gluggar or Windows these holes allow observers at the base of the waterfall to
see partly obscured water flow.
