WHW #214: Superstars on the Superstation 02/07/86

It's a departure from the weekly Saturday night 6:05 shows, as the February 1, 1986 edition is not available for watch along. So, this week, our look back at JCP on TBS in 1986 takes you to the night of the dream matches. For weeks, in January, fans watching World Championship Wrestling were asked to send in postcards of the matches they would like to see on TBS. The result: Superstars on the Superstation.

The event was held at the Omni on February 2, 1986, and broadcast five days later. It featured such "dream" matches as Ric Flair vs Ron Garvin for the NWA World Title, the Midnight Express vs the Rock and Roll Express for the NWA World Tag Team Championship, Dusty Rhodes against Tully Blanchard for the National Heavyweight Title, and the Road Warriors against Ivan and Nikita Koloff!
