Whether it’s 6-inch bluegill up north or a gizzard shad on the Tennessee River, there’s a strong natural preference for animals to work less hard for more calories. So before you leave your favorite bank for the next spot, consider making another pass with a bigger version of your confidence bait. Do this enough, and you’ll be rewarded with big fish and a regular shot at a personal best on any given system.
