Explaining my methodology for working out new songs.
Some might say that it is "cheating" touse sites like Ultimate Guitar but it is there and whilst not always correct, or as I would want it, it is a good start, which can then be cut and paste into a word document where I can re-arrange to my taste and style.
Mostly I do this process for (and with) my Zoom one-to-one clients largely to help with developing an accompanying technique that can be applied to almost every other song.
What I didn't mention is that I am now very, very old and do not perform frequently enough to remember all the lyrics, so, yes, I use Cheat sheets! (argh!!) not tat I read every word and certainly not really to remember the chord progressions (my hands have a far better memory than my brain, but to glance down to remind myself of the first line or the third etc.
If you know a way I could get my rather large song list converted to some programme that could be put on a large pad (preferably NOT an Apple one) I'd love to know more.
So, my thanks to Jim Runchey for the question, and I hope this helps.
I always welcome your comments and questions that I might be able to make a video about! cheers, Ol' Andy
