With OnlyFans becoming so popular in 2020, inevitably we've seen increased media interest. This particular article enraged me so much that I made my own video about it, and wrote a response; links to all are below.

And all in all, I feel as though I'm part of a tug-of-war over what OnlyFans even *is*. What it is, in my view, is merely the latest innovation in internet modelling - the focus of my career for the last 17 years. And its USP is merely that as creators, we models can take on the role of photographer too, and instead of posing for photographers who sell the work on to the public, we sell directly to them ourselves.
Which doesn't sound terribly shocking, does it? Well, according to much of the mainstream media ATM, I'm missing the point. In their collective estimation, OnlyFans is a new way for men to 'exploit' young women by essentially forcing them to get naked for money. And simultaneously, these unscrupulous young women are 'exploiting' their vulnerable male customers by being so damnably naked and enticing.
Instinctively, this summation infuriated me, since from inside the industry, I know that's by no means a fair reflection of the model/customer relationship, in the main. Furthermore, I'm aware that many of the models who've become successful on OnlyFans were already nude models of one sort or another before OF came along. We're not all innocent wallflowers who'd never considered making money by sexualising our public personas before.
However, when calmness returned to me, I had to admit to myself that exploitation is not entirely impossible within my industry. If a particularly unscrupulous customer was able to make contact with a particularly financially vulnerable creator, perhaps he *could* exploit her by persuading her to shoot content she didn't want to produce in exchange for money. A particularly successful OF creator maybe *could* lure fans in with lies about what was on her page, or manipulate an especially vulnerable customer into buying her a washing machine or something. Maybe.
But I realised that I'm always taking steps to make sure that neither I nor my customers feel exploited by our relationship, and that if you care about professional ethics, it's by no means an impossible task. Furthermore, I've been pretty successful on OnlyFans (currently in the top 1.7% worldwide, out of 1 million+ creator accounts) so I know that my techniques work. Consequently, friends, here's a video about how I make sure I'm treating my customers with respect, while retaining the level of privacy and emotional comfort that I require to feel happy at work. There's no reason why you shouldn't do the same, so I really hope this helps.
