Now onto the encouragement...
I ate pie for breakfast! But not the kind you're thinking about... I ate some humble pie lol I was doing my morning routine getting slightly worried about how wild this day is turning out to be and part of that frustration is that I have a dentist appointment today. Lord bless these doctors now-a-days but it seems like we have to make appointments months in advance and sometimes half a year in advance. I have a point to this, so stay with me... I found myself spiraling in negative talk about "why is it this way? Why can't I just show up when I need a cleaning? Why? Why. WHY!". I noticed all the questions I had were centered around why isn't the world revolving around me. And then I took a bite of humble pie. The world doesn't revolve around me. Better yet, my life is not about me. It's about Jesus. I'm here to experience and reflect the love of Christ. And that doesn't just go for our doctors appointments but it also goes to our relationships and to our callings. Those things revolve around Jesus, not us. So if you're like me... pull up a seat and enjoy this pie because while its humbling, God exalts the humble & opposes the proud.
